Privacy Policy for Mommy's Log

            Your Privacy Matters: Mommy's Log is designed with your privacy as the top priority. We, the developer, never collect, access, see, or store any of your data. Free users: all data stays on your device. Pro users: data syncs through your own iCloud account, and only you and the people you share your invite link with can access it.
        

Information Collection and Use

Mommy's Log does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information to the developer or to any third-party server. The developer has zero access to your data at all times.

Free users: all data is stored locally on your device only.
Pro users: data can sync to your own personal iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit. It goes from your device to Apple's servers, not to us. The developer cannot read, access, or retrieve this data under any circumstances.

Data Storage

Everything you enter in Mommy's Log is stored on your iPhone using Apple's secure local storage. That includes:

Feeding records (breast, bottle, formula)
Diaper change logs
Notes and timestamps
Your baby's name and birthday, if you choose to enter them (optional)
Your reminder settings

For Pro users who use Partner Sync, your logs are also synced to your personal iCloud account (Apple's servers) so your partner can access them. In both cases, the developer has no access to this data. If you use iPhone/iCloud Backup, Apple may include the app's data in your normal device backup, just as it does for other apps.

Purchases

Mommy's Log is free to download. Pro features can be unlocked with a one-time in-app purchase. It is not a subscription and you are not charged again. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or see your payment details, name, email, or Apple ID. Apple only confirms to the app whether Pro has been unlocked, so it can restore your purchase on your other devices. If you bought an earlier subscription, Apple manages it, and you can view or cancel it in your Apple ID settings.

Data Sharing

We do NOT:

Collect any personal information
Track your usage or behavior across apps or websites
Use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services
Share data with third parties
Sell or rent your information
Use cookies or similar technologies
Require account creation or login

The app keeps a few simple counters (for example, how many entries you have logged) on your device. They help decide when to show a feature tip or a rating request. These counters never leave your device.

On-Device Features

Feeding predictions and insights: calculated entirely on your device. No data is sent to any AI service or server.
Feeding reminders: local notifications scheduled on your device. No notification server is involved.
Home Screen widget: shows the time since the last feeding, using data shared only between the app and its widget on your device.

Data Export

Mommy's Log lets you export your data when you choose to:

CSV or text: copied to your device's clipboard, so you can paste it wherever you like.
Doctor Visit Report (Pro): a summary image or PDF that you can share using Apple's share sheet (Messages, Mail, Files, print, and so on).

Exports happen only when you tap them, and you decide where the exported data goes.

Data Deletion

You have full control over your data. You can delete single entries or all data at any time in the app.

Free users: deleted data is permanently removed from your device. Uninstalling the app removes all of its data from your device.
Pro users with Partner Sync: deleting an entry also deletes it from your iCloud and from your partner's device. Uninstalling the app does not delete data already stored in your iCloud. To remove it, delete your entries in the app before uninstalling, or manage your iCloud storage in your iPhone's Settings (Settings → [your name] → iCloud).

Children's Privacy

Mommy's Log is used by parents and caregivers to track information about their baby. The app does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13. All data stays on the parent's device and, for Pro users, in the parent's own iCloud account.

Security

Data on your device is protected by your device's security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). Data synced through iCloud is protected and encrypted by Apple. We recommend keeping your device secure and up to date with the latest iOS version.

iCloud Partner Sync (Pro Feature)

Pro users can share baby logs in real time with a partner, nanny, or other caregiver through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). When you use this feature:

Data syncs only through your personal iCloud account, never through a developer server.
The developer has no access to your iCloud data. It is technically impossible for us to read it.
You share access by sending an invite link. Anyone who has your invite link can join your shared log, see your entries, and add entries. Treat the link like a key and send it only to people you trust.
Everyone who joins can view and add entries, and their changes sync to everyone in the shared log.
You can disconnect your partner at any time in Partner Sync. That stops their access to new entries. Entries already on their device stay on their device.
A partner can leave the shared log at any time.
Apple's iCloud infrastructure handles all data transmission and encryption.

Free users are not affected. Their logs stay on their device and are never synced to iCloud by the app.

Third-Party Services

Mommy's Log does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services, and does not connect to any developer server. The only outside services involved are Apple's: the App Store for purchases, and iCloud (CloudKit) for the optional Pro Partner Sync.

Location and Device Permissions

Mommy's Log does not access or use your location, Apple Health data, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone. The only permission the app may ask for is notifications, used for optional feeding reminders.

International Users

Free users: all data stays on your device, so no international data transfer takes place. Pro users who use Partner Sync: data is handled by Apple's iCloud infrastructure and follows Apple's data residency policies. The developer does not control or access this transfer in any way.

User Rights

You have complete control and ownership of your data. You can:

View all data stored in the app at any time
Export your data in standard formats (CSV, text, or PDF report)
Delete any or all of your data whenever you want
Stop sharing, or leave a shared log, at any time

Medical Disclaimer

Mommy's Log is a personal tracking tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Feeding predictions and insights are estimates based on your own logs, not medical guidance. Always talk to a qualified healthcare provider about your baby's health and development.

Limitation of Liability

Mommy's Log is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The developer is not liable for any data loss, damages, or consequences that come from using this app. You are responsible for backing up your data, if you want a backup, using the export feature or iCloud. This app does not replace professional medical advice or the records healthcare providers are required to keep.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app or for legal or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date at the top. If you keep using the app after a change, that means you accept the updated policy.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy and your use of Mommy's Log are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
